Abia State: ABA KEDU!

The number one state and the
state after God's Heart(which I
believe from its acronym... Gods
Own State) in Nigeria has lost its
taste. Following the advent of a
new leadership,lol a continuation in leadership. Abia State goverment the ''supposed'' God's Own State has not been fair to its citizens as their woes transits from bad to worse.
We all heard about Osisi ka nkwu
saga, how Abians lived in fears
coupled with series of kiddnaps
and robbery that led to loss of lives and all the big shots in the state took their heels to another state abandoning their properties, which resulted to crippling of business for months. Thanks for the timely intervention of Federal Goverment by dispatching some soldiers to do the work of the police.
As if that was not enough, the
goverment deviced a new means
to frustrate its citizen who are
recovering from fears. By
destroying shops and markets
aided by the soldiers who have
completed their primary
assignment(they are supposed to
leave after completing their
assignment)
Again when other states are busy
providing infrastructures and
creating employment, Abia state is
sealing up shops, destroying shops, markets in the name of illegal structures and denying people their means of livelihood.
What was hitherto thought to be
rumour is the asking all non
indigene civil servants in the state
to resign before 30th sept, 2011.
Aba, which is the commercial hub
of the state is largely affected.
The question is, Why would a
goverment want to frustrate the
lives of its citizens let alone its
commercial city, Aba where the
generate huge revenues from
without any backup plan?
What if other States goverment
decides to sack all Abians or non
indigens in their state?
Decide the Answer for the above
questions.
But remember when u throw a ball to the wall, the ball will bounce back. All I am saying is that, it is likely that Aba traders may react.

Anwar al-awlaki Killed In Yemen.

American-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who preached terror as
the public face of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, has been killed
in Yemen, the nation's Defense Ministry said Friday.
The United States regards al-Awlaki, who was believed to be hiding in
Yemen, as a terrorist and the biggest threat to its homeland
security. Western intelligence
officials believe al-Awlaki is a senior leader of Al Qaeda in the
Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), one of the most active al Qaeda affiliates.
Al-Awlaki was killed about 8
kilometers (5 miles) from the
Yemeni town of Khashef, east of the capital city of Sanaa. Basha yemen spokesman said
the operation was launched at about 9:55 a.m. local time, though he
did not say what type of operation was conducted or
how al-Awlaki was killed.

Tevez Will Not Play Again- Roberto Mancini

Senate President, David Mark In A Fatal Accident.

Senate President, Mr. David Mark
just lost his official driver and a
security aide in a fatal accident that
took place last weekend. Mark,
himself escaped being killed as he
was not in convoy of cars at the
time of the accident. It was
gathered that the senate
president's driver had left with
others but was sent back by the
aide de camp to Mark to pick a
luggage which they forgot.
On his way back, he was said to be speeding so that he can meet up
with other cars in the convoy
when he suddenly had an head on
collision with a trailer that was
loaded with cement. The unfortunate incident happened
at the Burnt brick junction near
Otukpo, Benue State yesterday
morning.Mark is still mourning his
late driver and police inspector as
condolence messages have been
coming. Federal Road Safety
Corps has attributed over speeding to the major causes of accidents
involving government officials. It would also be recalled that last
year, one of the children of the senate president was also involved in
an auto crash but he narrowly escaped death but his car was damaged
beyond repairs.

that Africans are not all that

is not the reason she didn’t attend

September 23, 2011.

Coach Siasia Defends List.

Super Eagles coach
Samson Siasia has said
that the camp for the
Guinea match will open
on October 3 in Abuja,
and will immediately
go into the final phase
of their preparations
for the match.
Explaining his choice of
players, Siasia said he
had put current form
as well as the team's
needs into
consideration and had
given no room for any

EX-GOVERNOR DIDNT RUN ACCOUNTS.

AMID tight security, former Lagos Governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
was arraigned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) yesterday. But
the matter could not go on, as the prosecution served the defence a
new charge, shortly before the session. Tinubu is charged with alleged
operation of foreign accounts, more than four years after he left
office. Attempts by the prosecution to convince the court to read the
charge was rejected. CCT chairman Justice Danladi Yakubu Umar insisted
on fairness and justice in the handling of the case. He adjourned the
matter till October 26 for objection to the charge before the court.
Also yesterday, Tinubu
described his case as
political persecution and
challenged the
complainants to bring
their proof, if they had
any against him.
Addressing reporters after
the sitting, Tinubu said: "I
believe in the rule of law
and constitutional
democracy and the
respect for the judiciary,
believing equally that
those who allege must
prove beyond reasonable
doubt. The substance of
the case, I don't even
know.
"They said I operated
foreign accounts; they
have not shown me
statements of account,
they are yet to provide
information, even though
under the Freedom of
Information Act they are
expected to do that; they
have not provided me the
amount; is it from the
state money? Is it from
Lagos State or from my
almajiri exercise or
efforts? They have not
shown me.
"Suddenly, they pounced
on me with a new charge;
amended charge this
morning in the court
premises. That one, I have
not seen at all. I don't
know what the charge is.
Anybody who knows me
knows that I maintain an
open-door policy. My
address is known
throughout this country.
They gave excuses there
again that they had to
drop the summons in my
office because they
couldn't locate me. That, I
believe is a fabrication.
"The question is, this is all
politics.com. Nigeria is
facing a very crucial
challenge in our
democratic dispensation;
in our institutional
building. The focus of
service and development
to this country is very
crucial at this hour. I think
we should wait for them
to see and prove
whatever they have, but,
to me clearly, we should
concentrate on the
security, the welfare and
developmental
requirement of our
nation."

GOVERNOR INPREGNANTS SISTER-INLAW.

A big sex scandal is
currently rocking the
Enugu government house.
At the centre of the sex
scandal is the state
governor, Sullivan Chime
and his sister-in-law, Ebere
Igwe. Ebere is the younger
sister of Clara Chime, the
governor's wife and first
lady of Enugu state.
It was reliably gathered
from sources in Enugu that
a secret romantic affair
between Chime and his
sister-in-law has recently
produced a baby boy.
A source in Enugu
Government House
disclosed that the affair
between Governor Chime
and Ebere, started shortly
after he married Clara in
October 2008.
The lavish traditional
marriage held at Isuochi
home town of the Igwe's
costed the state
government a fortune, not
minding the fact that
Chime was marrying Clara
as a second wife, having
divorced his first wife from
Ogakwu family in Udi
town where he hails from.
After the ceremony, Clara
moved into the Governor's
lodge with her younger
sister, Ebere who just
graduated
fromAbiaStateUniversity.
Unknown to the first lady,
this was the beginning of
an affair between her
husband and Ebere.
Few months after, the first
lady noticed that the
Governor was always
eyeing Ebere, and became
suspicious of them. Not
wanting to lose her
husband to her younger
sister, the first lady
suggested that her sister
should go abroad for her
masters degree.
However, by the time
Ebere left the country for
her post graduate
programme abroad, she
was already into a deep
relationship with the
Governor.
She benefitted a brand
newToyotacar and
frequent overseas trips
from the relationship
which continued even
while she was studying
abroad.
The affair however blew
open sometime last year
when Ebere returned to
the country after her
studies abroad and told
the first lady that she was
pregnant for the governor.
According to sources, Clara
was so shocked to the
point that she became

The first lady was taken to
Rev. Fr. Njoku's Upper
Room Ministries at Emene
Enugu for prayers and
later, her mother took her
to a native doctor who
succeeded in stabilizing
her mind, even as the
governor turned a blind
eye to her situation.
The first lady thereafter
told her younger sister to
abort the pregnancy, but
she refused. The first lady
reportedly sent thugs after
her younger sister, and
when the governor got
wind of the plan, he made
special security
arrangements for her.
To make sure that the
pregnancy was not
tampered with, the
governor sent Ebere to
theUnited Stateswhere she
eventually delivered a
baby boy recently.
However, the first lady
swore not to allow her
younger sister into
government house again.
Ebere's whereabouts
remain unknown,
although an unconfirmed
source said that she is
nursing the baby at the
governor's Udi country
home.
The scandal has forced the
first lady to maintain low
profile to the point that
she sends either the wife
of the Secretary to State
Government or Speaker of
the House of assembly to
represent her in public
functions.

ABSU Students Revolts Over Gang-Rapist.

Students of Abia State
University (ABSU), Uturu, on Sunday, vowed to unravel the identities of five male students who gang-raped a female
undergraduate of the
institution on August 16.
The rape, which went on for an hour, was recorded by the rapists, and has been shared via mobile
phones in the university, and made its way to the Internet.
In the video, the female student was raped by five males who accused her of
insulting one of them. The girl struggled initially, crying and begging her assailants to get off her.
The men subdued her by slapping and threatening to kill her. After a while, she gave in and begged
them to kill her. The
rapists laughed at her and told her that if she didn't co-operate, they would keep her in the room and
continue raping her for two days.
"Initially we thought it was a fake video, until someone identified the girl in the video as a
student here," said
Onyekachi Ndukwe, a final year Law student of the university. "The SUG(Students Union
Government) has moved into action to try to get the boys' identities, but we are not resting until
those boys are discovered.

Mercy Johnson Is Not My Friend - Tonto Dikeh.

The wedding of Mercy Johnson has come and gone. To many fans of of
Nollywood will have in their minds that the occasion was witnessed
live by all the Nollywood artists. But an A-list actress

MERCY JOHNSON'S WEDDING

Weeks before last
weekend’s wedding of
star actress, Mercy
Johnson, many had
predicted that the
wedding would not hold,
and if it does, the shine

Man Shoots Girlfriend
After Having Sex With
Her in Delta State
A 28-year-old man,
Emmanuel Yesin, has
been arrested by the
police for allegedly
shooting his girlfriend
to death in Delta State.
Detained alongside
Yesin was a friend,
whose identity could
not be ascertained at
the time of filing this
report, for covering up
the alleged murder.
Nigerian Tribune
gathered that the girl,
simply identified as
Uloma, had visited her
boyfriend’s house on
Monday last week, and
after they had sex,
decided to tidy the bed,
only to discover a gun
hidden by the side of
the wall.
She was said to have
raised the alarm upon
the discovery, a
development that drew
Yesin’s attention.
A source said Yesin, due
to the discovery by the
girl, went for the gun
and threatened to kill
her.
It was learnt that when
the girl continued
shouting, the suspect
allegedly shot her in the
stomach, with the
bullet ripping her
intestines.
The suspect’s friend,
who was said to be
washing clothes outside
the house, allegedly
rushed inside, only to
discover the girl, still in
her underwear, gasping
for breath and
eventually gave up the
ghost.
Nigerian Tribune
gathered that the
suspect’s friend was
arrested by the Okere
youth, along with Yesin,
for allegedly calling a
relation of the deceased
and reported that
robbers struck in their
house and snuffed life
out of the girl.
The community youths
arrested the two
suspects and kept them
in their custody before
inviting the police to
take over the suspects.

Niger State to adopt community policing to tackle Boko Haram.

Worried by the growing
menace of the violent
Boko Haram group and
the general insecurity in
the country, acting
governor of Niger State,
Ahmed Ibeto Wednesday
said the state government
has decided to adopt
community policing to
protect citizens.
Mr Ibeto told the Emir of
Minna, Umar Faruk who
paid him a Sallah homage,
that under the new
security arrangement,
traditional rulers are
expected to pay closer
attention to their domain
and report suspicious
persons to security agents.
“The new arrangement
also mandated ward
heads to report to village
heads; village heads to
report to district heads
and the district heads will
report to the emirs who
will pass the information
to security agents,” he
said.
“There is no way we can
provide security and
harmony without the
cooperation of traditional
rulers; they must ensure
the security of our
communities; so we are
giving them the
responsibility.”
The acting governor said
by introducing free
feeding in Quranic schools
during the Ramadan fast,
the state government was
poised to eradicate
begging and the Almajiri
syndrome in the state.
He said that the state
would check the influx of
beggars into the state so
that the new system now
introduced is not
jeopardized, especially
since the state
government has taken the
welfare of the destitute
very seriously.

the state in order to make
it attractive to children,

The emir frowned at a

REASONS WHY WOMEN SHOULD BE SEXUALLY ACTIVE DURING MONOPAUSE.

A consultant gynaecologist at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), Dr Khadijat Raji, has advised women at menopause to be sexually active in order to avoid shrinking of the vagina. She said that active sexual intercourse during menopause was desirable for healthy living. “Menopause does not mean they should stop sexual intercourse; women at this period need to be sexually active in order to avoid shrinking of the vagina,” she said. She urged women to be more positive in their thinking about menopause and to entertain no fear in attaining the age of menopause. “The more positive women are about menopause, the less it affects them,” she said. “The use of lubricant is advisable in order to lubricate the vaginal passage because estrogens that lubricate the vagina will no longer be in there and it will also prevent tear and painful sexual intercourse.” She also advised them to engage in exercises, eat less beef and avoid alcohol, coffee and cigarettes. “Women at the age of menopause should engage in exercises to revive loss of bone and increase intake of soya and other vitamins like Vitamin D.
