No fewer than three persons were injured yesterday in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, when a car belonging to the former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, allegedly rammed into some youths protesting the fuel subsidy removal. Nextvoice learnt that the incident happened at about 2pm at Olaiya area of the town. Protesters had barricaded the road and were said to be holding a rally when the former governor's convoy got to the area. The protesting youths were said to have surged towards the vehicle, when they noticed that it was conveying the former governor. The governor's vehicle was said to have hit three of the protesters while trying to meander through the barricade in a bid to beat the surging crowd.
How many more will have to die before how goverment resorts to the masses demands.
